How to Unlock a User Next Gen CIB Print

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to unlock a corporate user in Next Gen CIB using the iBusiness platform.


Step 1: Access User Management

  1. Log in to iBusiness using your Corporate Admin credentials.
  2. Navigate to User Management > Users.
  1. Use the search function to filter and locate users with a Locked status to quickly identify users who require unlocking.



Step 2: Select and Unlock the User

  1. Identify the user with a Locked status.
  2. Click on Unlock next to the selected user.


Step 3: Review and Submit

  1. The Summary Review screen will be displayed.
  2. Verify the user details carefully.
  3. Click Submit to proceed.



Step 4: Authenticate the Request

Complete authentication using one of the following methods:

  • Mobile App Authentication
    • Approve the request via the iBusiness mobile app notification
    • Use biometric or device verification
  • Google Authenticator
    • Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) generated from the app



Step 5: Approval (If Maker–Checker is Enabled)

If a Maker–Checker setup is configured: 

  • The request is routed to a Checker/Approver
  • The Approver must log in to iBusiness
  • Navigate to Transactions > Pending Your Authorizations
  • Locate the request under Unlock User
  • Review and Approve or Reject the request

Support Notes / Best Practices

  • Always verify the user’s identity before unlocking
  • Ensure the lock is not due to security or compliance restrictions
  • Confirm the correct user is selected before submitting the request
  • Track the reference number for audit and troubleshooting
  • Maintain proper Maker–Checker segregation
