How to Apply for a New/Additional eDirham Card? Print

To apply for a new or additional eDirham card, follow these steps:


Step 1: Accessing the Application Form



Step 2: Filling Out the Application Form

  • Fill out all mandatory "Customer Information" fields
  • Fill out all mandatory "ID Information" fields and attach a copy of your ID(s)
  • If your organization holds an existing CBD Account, add your CBD Account Number
  • Fill out all mandatory "Delivery Address Information" fields



Step 3: Payment

  • You can select to pay for your eDirham card either by:
    • Credit/Debit Card
    • Account


Step 3a: Paying by Account

  • Select the tickbox confirming you have read the terms and conditions
  • Click "Submit & Pay"
  • Please note the issuance fee is AED 40


  • Select "Commercial Bank of Dubai" as the Bank
  • Select "Corporate Banking" as the Product
  • Click Submit
  • Accept Terms & Conditions


 Select your "iBusiness" or "Cash Online" account and enter your login credentials

  • Select the Account you want to make payment from
  • Click "Submit"
  • Please ensure that your corporate approver approves the transaction as per your business authorization matrix


Step 3b: Paying by Credit / Debit Card

  • Select the tickbox confirming you have read the terms and conditions
  • Click "Submit & Pay"
  • Please note the issuance fee is AED 38.80



  • Fill out your Payment Information and click "Pay"



Applying for a Supplementary Card

  • Signature cardholders can now apply for up to 10 Supplementary cards per Primary card
  • This facility enables our corporate customers to issue cards to their staff while maintaining complete control of the cards
  • Supplementary cards share the balance of the Primary card
  • There is no Top Up allowed on Supplementary cards. The Top-Up is done only on the Primary card
  • No address or email address is captured for Supplementary cards. The Supplementary cards are delivered at the address of the Primary cardholder


Step 1: How to Apply for a Supplementary Card


  • Enter the Primary Card Holder token number and select "Get OTP"
  • Please note the Card Holder token number is the number printed below the Cardholder Name on your primary eDirham card
  • Enter the OTP which will have been sent by SMS to the registered Primary Card Holder phone number 
  • Enter the OTP and click "Verify"




  • Fill out the "Customer Information"
  • Select your Payment Method
  • Select the tickbox confirming you have read the terms and conditions
  • Click "Submit & Pay"
  • For more detailed steps on submitting the payment, please follow steps 3a / 3b



After following the above steps, you will have successfully requested your eDirham Card. Please note, it will typically take between 7-10 working days for your eDirham Card to be delivered.
